3D Shape Analysis: From Classical Optimization to Learning-Based Matching

Room 204 — 9:15 am until 5 pm — June 12, 2025

3D shape analysis focuses on extracting meaningful information from geometric data, with applications in autonomous driving, biomedicine, and AR/VR. In this tutorial, we provide an overview of classical shape matching techniques, product graph approaches, learning-based correspondence methods, spectral techniques, and their real-world applications. We also discuss current challenges and outline promising directions for future research.
